Marble Cake Recipe
Ready in 20 minutes
Easy to make
Ingredients
● 1 cup good quality semi sweet chocolate chips (150g)
● 1 cup whole milk
● 1 ½ sticks soft unsalted butter (180g)
● 1 ½ cups sugar
● 3 eggs
● 1 cup of sour cream
● 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
● 2 1/2 cups of self rising flour (350g)
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 320 f. (160 c.)
In a small saucepan, on low heat, melt the chocolate with ½ cup of milk.
Cook while stirring, until the chocolate is completely melted.
In a mixer bowl with a flat beater beat the butter and sugar until the mixture is creamy and shiny.
Add the eggs gradually, one at a time, until they are absorbed into the mixture.
Add the sour cream, half a cup of the remaining milk, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, and finally the flour for a short stir.
Divide the mixture in half. Mix one half well with the melted chocolate to a uniform mixture.
Grease a baking pan with butter and pour into it the mixtures alternately (I use 2 12’’/4’’ tube pans)
Use a knife to create a "marble" effect.
Place in the oven and bake for about 45-50 minutes, until the cake is completely set.
Enjoy baking!!!!
